Therapist Education - The Chi Centre for Practical Detoxification

If this website is your first introduction to colon hydrotherapy training then please use this page to link to the relevant pages of our other website, www.colonicschool.net to find answers to the following questions:

Why is your training divided into Theory and Practicals, as two separate modules?
We have found that this is the best way to turn you into a competent practitioner. You need to spend time studying and understanding the theory, and everyone studies at their own pace. This also guarantees that all students coming to the practical week have done their homework, and you are not going to get frustrated at someone who takes all the tutor's time because they don't know the basics. Everyone needs to work equally hard during the practical week. It’s a hard course, study is intense, but your practical success will make all your efforts worthwhile.
What qualifications do I need in order to become a colon hydrotherapist?
As a minimum requirement, you need to have already studied anatomy and physiology at the post-graduate level. For more detailed information please visit http://www.colonicschool.net/requirements.html

What are the extra costs?
RICTAT logoTravel, accommodation and meals are not included in the course fee. After you graduate you will need to have insurance in order to practice (around £117 per year). If you wish you can join our main professional association, the International Register of Integrative Colon Therapists and Trainers (£52 if you join while on the course)
How do I choose a training college?
It is always helpful to have certification that will enable you to join an internationally recognized professional body. Choose a school that provides that facility and has a good reputation. Ask if you could speak to recent graduates, attend a half-day or a day of tuition, or have a look at training materials. Make sure you get a training contract or published terms to fall back on if you are not happy with your training. Ask for the school’s Code of Practice. See how many actual teaching hours you get for your money. Don't choose on price alone.

Remember, it's your time and money that you invest in your career. Don't listen to people promoting their own organizations and criticizing others: do your own homework.
